There are Capsaicin herbal capsules which would allow them to take it without, at least, the initial taste, but if it really disturbs their stomach, or "repeats" on them, then that would still be a problem. The researchers in the study are trying to isolate the "active" element itself and remove it from its setting... so they may come up with a means to u8se it for those folks that can't tolerate it. However, I don't like that approach, since it is not natural, I would prefer to use the actual food as it is... so I don't see a clear answer to this one!

This is fantastic news about Type 1 diabetes and the capsaicin. I don't have diabetes, but know a few in my circle of friends. One thought I have: what about those those persons who can't 'stomach' or digest any spicy foods?
